Wait NVM I just realized I had my sound off... oops.

I think this game is great and a unique combination of ideas! However, the camera shake can be a bit disorientating on lower speeds, and I often ended up running inside myself through a glitch. Also, is there supposed to be music? I don't hear any. BUT, I was surprised when I saw there was an entire new section past the first layer! And when the bricks started flying around was definitely fun! :)

Thank you for your review! I'll try to fix the glitch in an update and reduce the camera shake :)

Yeah, tell me when you've fixed some stuff!

Fantastic game, I would have preferred a joystick like mobile control but that doesn't matter. I found it super fun and surprisingly difficult, I think allot of struggle came from playing on mobile, Perfectly encapsulated the theme, loved it

Thank you for your feedback! I had an idea to add joystick, but  there are only 4 directions so buttons felt more logical here. Did you found the game difficult because of buttons or game speed? Or maybe something else? It is easy to add more speed modes like extra fast or extra slow, or joystick option, but if it is something other then balancing the game might be harder

Ummmmm, I think it might be about the joystick, and joystick is going to be undoubtedly better so I would recommend that even though it's just four directions. I wouldn't add more speeds because it could clutter the screen, but I think the difficulty came from having to sit for so long in the first room, anyway im sure it's easier on PC.

Thanks for responding, I'll add joystick in the post-jam update ;)

This game actually has quite solid mechanics! Snakeout (im really sad  you didnt call it that) is a really good combination! and i like the ball upgrade mechanics. Onto the critique, sorry if any of it sounds a little harsh

The initial experience was a little confusing, to say the least. I was disoriented by the moving camera (which isnt present in snake or breakout), and was kinda unsure what each powerup did or whether i should touch them. Some more tutorialisation would be apreciated there i think, though it's simple enough that the game can make do without

Admittedly, i quit after i breached the first line of blocks. Seeing a whole extra line after a long corridoor was really disheartening, as my balls were HUGE and i'd have to just snake around for ages to get through. I think your core mechanics might've worked better in either a one-screen level based game, or in some kind of roguelike where blocks just kept coming and moving down the screen

I found a bug: if you quickly press a turn direction (going up: A or D) and then backwards (going up: S) you can crash into yourself.

The music is kinda rough, i found. Some of the chords sounds really like, out of tune. I dont really know how to do music critique so sorry i cant be much more detailed.

Overall, i think you made some quite solid core mechanics, but fell a bit short in other areas. I still had a decent time though :)

Thank you so much for  taking time to write your review!

I think I'll add a tutorial in the menu and rework location after the corridor. Tha balls don't stay huge forever, every time you take a powerup it lasts only 15 seconds, if you don't take another one. I really want to fix crashing into yourself bug but I won't remove this feature since it enables players shrink if they feel too huge. I'm really bad at music and even worse at working with musicians so music will stay horrible :( Thank you again for the review, I really appreciate the citique, because it helps to see what works and what does not. If you liked the game consider trying other my games too, I like to do exerimental stuff
